Why Resin?
I didn’t come to resin art just by chance. It found me at a time when I needed an outlet, a way to make sense of the emotions I couldn’t put into words. After losing my best friend, I felt this deep void—a longing for connection that no amount of talking or journaling seemed to fill. I turned to resin almost instinctively, drawn to its versatility and transformative properties. Working with resin allowed me to channel my grief into something tangible, to shape my pain into beauty and give it a new purpose. As I poured each layer and watched it harden into form, it felt like I was capturing something precious, preserving an essence that couldn’t be lost.
Resin offered me the chance to take emotions—love, loss, joy—and translate them into physical pieces that others could hold, admire, and cherish. Each piece became a testament to a moment, a person, or a memory that deserves to be held onto. In my heart, I knew I wanted to use this medium not only for my own healing but to help others hold onto their cherished moments, too. Resin became a way for me to capture fleeting memories, to hold onto pieces of life that are otherwise so temporary.
There’s something extraordinary about seeing someone’s eyes light up when they receive a piece that captures a beloved memory, like a wedding day, a first baby’s breath, or a heartfelt celebration of a life well-lived. For many, these aren’t just items; they’re touchstones to times, people, or emotions they want to remember forever. When I see a client’s reaction, the look of surprise mixed with joy and sometimes even tears, it’s like we’re sharing a special, almost sacred, moment. It reminds me why I do what I do. Resin is more than just art—it’s a way to honor life, love, and loss.
Through resin art, I’m able to help people hold onto their stories, crafting each piece with the care it deserves so that it can be a part of their lives for years to come. It’s incredibly fulfilling to know that, in some small way, I’m helping others preserve their own moments of connection and beauty, one piece at a time.
